Today I could have used more moments like this . . .



I felt like most of my day was spent on discipline. (I really hate days like that, but I'm afraid if I don't keep on them, they'll just roll right over me.)

I did manage to get out of my morning funk and finish up some cleaning in the addition, this afternoon. The entryway is now ready to decorate! Now if I could just find the perfect multipurpose bench . . . life would be grand!

The weather was gorgeous out today . . . a little windy, but warm enough to get out and play in the sunshine! Bayleigh . . . the poor girl . . . just really struggles with her driving abilities. Truth be known, Eli is a much better driver than she is. I'm sure daddy will get her up to speed this summer . . .



so she can ride her cousin's 4 wheeler at some point. Poor Aunt Stacey is a braver soul than I am . . .



but Bayleigh probably shaved a few years off of her life with this short little ride.




I spent most of the day on my usual household chores. Bayleigh got out of school early today, and cousin Kasey came home with her for a short time, and after Eli's nap, we all met back up at grandma's house for some ATV riding!


I've also noticed that the Robins and other springtime birds have started to make an appearance today. Maybe spring is just around the corner!

Dave's folks left after breakfast this morning, and I went straight to work on the addition. I managed to get all the trim sanded in both kids' rooms, the second pantry and one hallway. Then I went to work on the windows in the living room/dining room. They all had sticky stuff on them from the manufacturers stickers . . . some had splatters of paint . . . and some had joint compound on them.


After Bayleigh got home from school, we all got bundled up and headed off to the park. It was a bit chilly, but it was nice and peaceful and we had the whole playground to ourselves.



I'm totally running behind this evening, and I ended up slapping together a really terrible layout out for the LOAD challenge (which I'll be fixing at a later time . . . probably tomorrow), and squeezing in a few photos to post for today. I've got a bunch of cute pictures of the kids playing on the slides, but alas . . . I'm too tired to weed through them all. I may post an update on photos in the morning.

Here's hoping Eli sleeps better than he did last night! Mommy needs a few good hours of shut-eye.

Another busy day! Dave's folks are here visiting and will be staying overnight. Amongst all the housework, I managed to put together a layout for L.O.A.D. . . .

I played around with a little light and shadow this morning. My eclectic mix of piano music . . .



and the shadow of the shelves that we use to start our seeds for the garden. You can see the little pots with their labels sticking up, just waiting for the seeds to be planted. Our first batch of seeds should be here this week some time.




It's kind of fun taking photos of the shadows now and again . . .

The rest of the day was spent cleaning house, doing laundry, and polishing up the taxes for tomorrow morning's appointment. It'll be nice to get all the paperwork sorted through and filed away for another year!

For a Sunday . . . it was pretty busy around here. I got up early to get everyone ready for Sunday school, and enjoy a few moments of fun time with my camera. Shutter Sisters is having a "One Word" project starting this month, and I ended up choosing my word for 2009 (SEARCH) to start out the month of February. And since my Bible was handy, this was the first thought that came to mind . . .



I also spent a little time just soaking in the atmosphere of "home" this morning. I hadn't really thought about it, but this is a nice little photo of my kitchen counter (as is) right after breakfast, with just a little ray of sunshine to brighten my day . . .




I taught Sunday School this morning, which can sometimes be a challenge when Eli is running around getting into things. The girls were very well behaved this morning, and they slept through the church service, so at least they weren't being loud or fighting with each other. That's a blessing in and amongst itself!


After church we had a WONDERFUL meal with everyone, and made it home around 1:30. I had made arrangements to pick up a loft bed for Bayleigh this afternoon, so mom was kind enough to come and watch the kids while I went and picked it up, and my sister-in-law was nice enough to come and help me disassemble it and bring it in the house, when I got home with it. It's nice to have family so close to lend a helping hand every now and again. ;)

I just finished up my L.O.A.D. project for day one, and I've posted and downloaded all the photos, I needed to . . . at least I THINK I have. I'm participating in several challenges this month, along with taking the Library of Memories class, so I'm making sure I have my list posted next to the computer tomorrow, so I don't forget anything. Gotta have a list!
