January 11, 2010

Today I'm thankful for the amounts of almost unlimited energy God has provided me with so far this year.  I've been "FOCUS"ing on the drudgery of housework, so I can get down to the business of playtime . . . which is right around the corner!

This Chapter in my cleaning novella will be centered on the bathrooms . . .

The sinks . . .

the toilets . . .

and the whole enchilada, so to speak.  Today I managed to detail clean the entry bathroom, and clean both the kid's bathroom and the master bath.  All I have left to do, is wash down the mirrors, and scrub the bathtubs!  WHEW!

After all that scrubbing I thought a trip outside with Dave and the kids was in order.

Hubby spotted this fly, frozen on top of the snow, just outside the garage.  It was almost like it was frozen in mid-movement.  I wonder when it gets warm enough . . . if this fly will thaw out and fly off?

We finally got everyone bundled up and on the hills for some sledding action, as the sun was going down.

Eli has a blast!  I think he'd stay out in the snow until he froze into a popscicle, just like Mr. Fly up above.

Bayleigh wasn't dressed as warmly, though, and she quickly got soaked all the way through . . . I'm sure it didn't hurt her feelings a bit, when we told them to load up and we'd head home for some hot chocolate.

It was starting to get dark anyhow.

But Eli caught me snapping a few pictures and had to come investigate, before we headed back up the hill.  He's now been warned not to play with barbed wire.  So we'll see how long that particular bit of wisdom stays in his little head.

Dave finally picked him up and slung him over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes, and we made it back to the house just in time . . .

for Bayleigh to fall asleep.  Luckily I was able to get burritos fixed and served, before she passed out.

Another busy fun filled day!  Tomorrow we head out to the dentist's office, for Bayleigh to get a cavity filled, and then it's off to see how many people I can scare to death with my camera, while we shop.  It should be an interesting day.

  3. lol . . . Thanks so much! It's ALWAYS easier to clean someone else's house, I think. (At least it would add a little excitement into the mix, because you'd be cleaning and picking up different stuff.)

And Hassan . . . I took the toilet shot by holding the camera up above my head as high as I could reach, pointing it down, and taking a few shots at different angles. It's amazing what you can come up with, when you're not looking through the view finder. ;)
