January 12, 2010

Today I am thankful for the 12 of 12 group.  We document our day through photos, narrow it down to 12, and then make a layout documenting our day on the 12th of each month.

So here's how my day went . . . up at 5:00 a.m. for Pilates, Bible study, and computer catch-up . . .

a quick trip outside to catch a shot of the weather;  frost on top of the snow . . .

with a side order of fog!

I got the kids up and fed . . .

and then we headed out for Bayleigh's dentist appointment.  We didn't make it far, before we had our first stop.  (Have I mentioned that my children can't go anywhere without stopping at every bathroom along the way?)

We finally made it to the dentist . . . just a shade late . . .

and Bayleigh got her cavity filled.  We had to wait for her numbness to wear off before we could all eat, so we stopped by Bass Pro for a short breather.  (I'd also brought along my back-up camera to keep Bayleigh occupied.  She carried her camera around all over the place, just like I did.  I thought it was rather cute.)

We initially went in to see if we could find Bayleigh some coveralls, to keep her warm when she went outside to play, but unfortunately they didn't have anything her size.  So we just spent some time sight seeing.

and we left empty handed.

Then it was off to the next stop . . .

Lowe's, Target, and Brahms for a shake!  Her feeling was just starting to come back about the time we left town.  So we decided to hit Pizza Hut, so she could get her "free" pizza, from participating in the reading program at school.  She's got two more of these free pizza's coming, so I guess I'd better get in gear and let her cash them in before they expire!  We're so proud of her!  She's SUCH a good little reader.

At 2:00 p.m. we had the whole restaurant to ourselves . . .

then we made a quick dash through Wal-Mart for groceries, and Dave sat in the car with the kids, while I went in to the lovely local scrapbooking store and cashed in on some coupons and Santa Bucks.  When I came back out they were all asleep!  I REALLY don't think I was gone THAT long!  Was I?!

As soon as we stepped in the door from unloading kids and groceries, my mom called inviting us over for supper.

It was right at twilight when we pulled into mom and dad's driveway.  It was nice not to have to fix supper or wash dishes after such a long day on the road.  THANKS MOM!

And now here I sit . . . 10:30 p.m., logging the high points.  I believe some rest is in order.  5:00 a.m. comes really quickly around here.  And I threw in an extra picture for good measure.
