January 9, 2010

Today I am both thankful and disgusted by this creature . . .

I woke up to Elvis peeing on Bayleigh's floor, which at first irked me . . . but then if it hadn't been for this little incident, I might not have got up the energy to clean both the kid's rooms this morning, before tackling my weekend maintenance duties.  So . . . here's a grudging thank you to Elvis. (Since we've found that he doesn't have a urinarty tract infection and he's pottying outside his litter box due to stress issues . . . I'm wondering if I should put HIM up for adoption, or my KIDS, who probably are the main instigators of his stress. Hmmm . . . something to ponder.)

After I cleaned the kid's rooms, I moved on to the kitchen.

I've dubbed the weekends as my "maintaining" point in the week, where I attempt to work diligently on maintaining what I've been working hard on all week.

I've GOT to find that happy place, where I can keep everything in some type of order.  I know, for me, this isn't going to be easy.  I'm an all or nothing type person.  I give it my all, then exhaust myself and give nothing for a while.  I'm GOING to find that middle of the road place . . . even if it KILLS me!  (Which it just might!)

It's a viscious cycle.  But I've set the pace and I'm going to stick with it.  I can DO this!

with a little help from my friends.

And then I'm going to reclaim some of that time I've been missing out on, to do more of the things that are truly important to me.  Like eat, sleep and play with the kids . . .
