Today I am thankful for a day of rest. This time change is whooping my backside. I'm already sleep deprived, but getting up an hour earlier really adds another element of "interest" to my already interesting life.
Sunday School went well for the most part. I'm finding that kids this age have little to no attention spans when we're doing something THEY don't want to do. The trick is to make it interesting . . . unfortunately I was all out of "creative" today.
Kasey brought this odd squishy, sticky, light-up thing to church and I had to get a picture. I mean . . . it IS one of my favorite colors.
And after I dropped mom and Kasey off, I had to wait for the geese to cross the road, so I could get back home. I wasn't sure if they were actually going to let me pass or not. Silly creatures.
The kids and I spent the afternoon resting and just being lazy in general. I can tell I'm on one of my uncreative streaks, but I'm hoping this one doesn't last long. If I could only get rested up! I hate feeling tired and sluggish, but I know my body is telling me I need to slow down a bit. I wish I could hurry it along.
And did they let you pass? Or did you have to get out of the car and drive them away?
