May 8, 2010

Today I'm thankful for kind and considerate people.  Bayleigh brought home this lovely plant yesterday, along with a book titled "The Important Book".  It contained hand drawn (and colored) pictures from each of the kids in Bayleigh's class, along with what they loved about their mom's.

It was so sweet, and I think Bayleigh has the most awesome teacher.  She always seems to come up with special little things like this for the kid's to do, that incorporates learning and giving.  I was very touched.

Late morning, mom, myself and the kids headed to the greenhouse to pick up some plants for Mother's Day, for the church service tomorrow.  This had to be one of the worst "hair days" I've had in a quite a while (and trust me . . . all of them are bad).  I finally decided to just clip it on top of my head to try and gain some semblance of control before I went out in public, otherwise my mom would refuse to be seen with me.  lol  Personally, I don't really care what people think of my appearance.  If I'm comfortable and clean, that's all that matters.  I'm enjoying this phase of life while I can . . . because soon, my kids will be embarrassed to be seen with me and I'll have to actually start making an effort to look nice when I go to school events.  (ACK!)

The rest of my day was spent slowly weeding through emails and catching up on more laundry.  It just never ends!

  1. First of all "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY"!

It a very nice feeling when you're appreciated an d mothers day is one of those days when a mom is assured that she's been doing a great job. I'm always amazed by your bond with your family and I'm sure you kid gave or wrote something sweet for you.

About the dressing phase you're in, well enjoy it while it lasts, because as you said, someday, it will be gone and you can't do the things you can now.
