May 10, 2010

Today I'm thankful for warm wooly jammies.  It rained most of the night last night and the temperatures dropped into the low 40's.

It was still raining this morning when I got up at 5:00 a.m.

So I just decided to stay in my pajamas until lunch time.

In between storms, I ran out and grabbed a few photos.

These flowers are lovely while they last, but it seems like they don't last nearly long enough.

We're in for some bad storms tonight, so I've got the basement prepared for tornado weather, my photos backed up to my external drive and batteries in the flashlights.  It's looking like there may not be much sleep tonight!  Praying that they just pass us over.

  1. I think the flowers don't last long enough because of the weather they have to endure. Most flowers are so delicate and get crushed by the slightest winds.

I'll be praying that the tornadoes choose another direction leaving everybody alone. I hate tornadoes, but I love seeing photos of them. Don't mean that you have to risk taking them.. Just stay safe and let me know how things went.

  2. Thanks for the prayers M. It looks like this batch of storms has passed us by! I'm hoping others have fared as well as we have.

  3. Hope they had too! These are the disasters humans has anything or much to do with. So, all we can do is pray.

    Be safe!
