May 13, 2010

Today I'm thankful that I caught the water heater leaking, just a few moments after it gave out . . . otherwise we would have a flooded basement.

Nothing exciting going on today.  Another night of no sleep last night . . . I'm going strong after I caught my third (or is it fourth) wind, though.  Eli was up again all night.  No storms until around 4:00 a.m.  I think he's just so tired and worn out he can't sleep.  (Gee . . . that sounds familiar.  I just stay up until I feel like sleeping though. I don't give him that option.  lol)

I was working on getting the laundry done for another day when I heard gushing water.  I searched all over and finally found the culprit.  (The water heater.)  I guess it just had one too many loads of laundry this week.

Luckily hubby was out and about, and he picked up a new one.  We're now back in business!

I didn't really accomplish all that much today without any water . . . but Eli and I had a good time playing and enjoying each other's company.

Bayleigh's baseball game was called off due to more storms moving through . . . and I can't say that my feelings were hurt any.  I'm once again planning to head to bed early.  I MUST get some sleep.  I have a really busy weekend ahead of me.  Wish me luck!

  1. I think you were lucky to spot the leaking on time, if that would have happened at my house, then the entire house would be filled with water because the heater in in our kitchen and the kitchen is in our living room. Its one of those open kitchen. Glad you got yourself a new one already.

Its also good that you don't give Eli the option to stay away till he feels like sleeping (bad habit for a kid).

Go get yourself some sleep my dear, you deserve it.
