May 16, 2010

Today I'm thankful for good children.  Oh yes!  They try my patience a lot, and act out at the most inconvenient times; but basically they are both pretty good . . . when they want to be.

I slept in until 7:00 a.m. this morning, and woke up to a foggy morning.  It had rained most of the night and everything had that "soggy" look to it.

The kids and I headed off to church in Dave's Jeep, since I was having problems with mine starting (due to a little girl leaving the door ajar and running the battery down).  It poured on us all the way to church, but finally let up after the service was over.

Eli was jumping around after lunch and ended up running into the entertainment center again.  He hit the EXACT same spot he did the first time, when he ended up with stitches.  Luckily this time he just ended up with a big knot on his eye, which we immediately put an ice pack on.  It's still swelled up and he'll have a huge bruise tomorrow, but hopefully it didn't cause any permanent damage.

I help Dave move the "behemoth" upstairs this afternoon.  It looks like I have a lot of cleaning to do, before I put it all back together and slide it into it's new home.  I'll have to see if I have any "free time" slotted on my list for tomorrow.  It's doubtful, but I'll see what I can get done.

Eli and I took a nice long nap this afternoon, while Dave and Bayleigh went to town.  It was nice to actually get a nap and re-charge.  THAT is what Sunday afternoon's are for.  Re-charging for the new week ahead.

  2. It looks like the rain is going to be staying for a while. Guess I'd better get used to some "damp" shots.

Eli feels much better, but he LOOKS awful! lol I think the child has a tendency to get bruised up.

Thanks so much! Wishing you a pleasant Monday as well!
