May 21, 2010

Today I'm thankful for play dates and good times.

I started off early this morning, cleaning out Dave's Documents files, doing a disk clean up and then a defrag.  I think I pretty much have things cleared out.  Then this afternoon Dave called, and one of his co-workers has been kind enough to volunteer to do a total restore on it.  (BLESS YOU LIZ! You've saved my sanity and I can't thank you enough.)

Mom needed to run to the store for a few things, so I offered to take her, on my way to drop Bayleigh off at Landon's house, for their play date.  (*Those two are practically inseperable.  Should I worry that my little girls best friend is a boy? lol)

After I dropped Bayleigh off, we ran through a Flea Market, then hit the grocery store.  It took us so long to run the errands that it was almost time to pick Bayleigh back up again.  So we wasted that 30 minute interval at a few more Flea Markets.

I found this 1973, New York Times Magazine for a whopping .75 cents.  The design and bright colors immediately grabbed my attention, and after browsing the cover, I knew what my scrapbooking project would be for the day.  (Yes, I defaced the magazine cover. lol)

After we all made it back home, I iced a couple of cakes that I prepared for the 4-H cake walk tomorrow.  I also ran out and picked up a few cakes and desserts that others had baked for the cake walk, since they won't be able to attend.  I'm hoping that I'll be able to handle things by myself, but I may have to see if I can recruit someone else to help me take up the money for tickets.  Tomorrow is going to be one BUSY day.  I'm glad that I got to get out and about with my mom today.  We always have a good time together.

  1. Nope... you should not worry because your girls best friend is a boy. My best friend was a girl too ;), but later a boy became my best friend and a girl became my girlfriend ;).

I love Flea markets, but they're not that popular in the town I live in. Its amazing how much good stuff you can find and for a next to nothing price.
